Our teachers are a separate caste.
They are not only native speakers of either French, English or Russian,
but also proud representatives of their culture.
They don’t teach – they set an example to follow.
How to master British formality, parry a French joke,
or thank a waiter without familiarity, impertinence or condescension –
these things are almost impossible to learn as an adult.
But they’re easy to pick up for children, if someone shows them how at the right time.
Our cleaning staff, just like our teachers, are extraordinary.
Some resemble house elves, others – wizards.
In essence, that’s what they are.
At least, your child will be convinced of this, and will try to convince you as well.
